Join me this Friday while I show off a new process at The Chicago Photography Center at 3301 N. Lincoln Ave from 6-9p. 'Artifact Moments' is a showing of framed 20" x 20" Instagram transfer prints built from both analog and digital techniques.

Fleeting moments captured on a camera phone are usually seen for a few seconds then discarded. This work explores these moments as artifacts, deconstructed into base elements of color, shape and texture. Layering black and white darkroom contact prints, poured polymer gel and digital ink transfers, the scene is rebuilt with haphazard nuance giving them a vintage look. I hope to celebrate the passing moments that we so often take for granted in our fast paced, tech saturated lives.
